Climbing Classes

Little Geckos (Ages 3 - 5 w/parent) Currently not open

Saturdays, 9:15 am - 10:00 am

This fun class focuses on the basics of climbing fundamentals. Participants learn climbing commands and climbing wall rules, play bouldering games, and climb the wall at their own pace. Parents must attend class with child.
Classes starts every 2nd Saturday of the month. 
$45 / $26 for Y Members per month

Program payment policy: payment upon registration is required, no refunds, credits will be given on a case to case basis.

Youth Climbing - Level 1 (Ages 5 - 7)

*Not currently offered

No experience is necessary.
Depending on the abilities of the participant, the class covers climbing wall rules, climbing commands, bouldering, spotting for others, putting on a harness, and climbing to the wall.
$72 / $48 for Y Members per month

Youth Climbing - Level 2 (Ages 6 - 9)

Tuesdays 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

This class focuses on fundamentals of climbing techniques for young climbers, focusing on learning climbing commands and climbing wall rules,  bouldering, and climbing the wall at their own pace. No experience is necessary for this class.
$72 / $48 for Y Members per month

Thursdays  4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

This fun class focuses on fundamentals of climbing techniques. Participants learn climbing commands and climbing wall rules, play bouldering games, and climb the wall at their own pace. No experience is necessary for this class.

Youth Climbing - Level 4 (Ages 9 - 13)  Class starting 4/3/2024

Wednesdays  4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

This fun class focuses on fundamentals of climbing techniques. Participants learn climbing commands and climbing wall rules, learn bouldering technique, and climbing the wall. Some experience is necessary for this class.
$72 / $48 for Y Members per month

Youth Climbing - Level 5 (Ages 9 - 15)

Pre-requisites: Instructor approval, new sign ups must be approved before registration.
The level 5 class covers climbing and identifying specific routes, developing advanced climbing techniques, knowledge of knots and gear, building and cleaning anchors, lead climb and belay instruction, and rappelling.
Saturdays 12:00-2:00 pm (Brad will inform of day and location)
