Youth Basketball

Youth Recreational Basketball (Grades 1st-6th)

YMCA Youth Recreational Basketball is for kids (grades 1st - 6th) of any skill level. This program will teach kids the fundamental skills and rules of basketball, suitable for their age group. Practice is for an hour two days a week, (in most cases, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday in Los Alamos or White Rock.)

Games:
Games will mainly be played on Fridays from 4:00-9:00pm. Only when necessary will games be played on Saturday mornings.

Participants will get team jerseys to keep!

Fall 2026 Youth Recreational Basketball

Register: August 31st - September 13th, 2026
Season: September 28th - December 18th, 2026
Fees: $140/ $110 for Y Members

All program participants must have a parent/guardian sign a Child Liability Waiver and a COVID-19 waiver before participating.

Program payment policy: payment upon registration is required, no refunds, credits will be given on a case to case basis.

These programs rely on volunteers. Volunteer coaches of any experience level are needed and greatly appreciated.
